A Crowdfunding Seminar, just for you

The House Crowd will be hosting a seminar in Manchester city centre on Tuesday 4th November at the prestige Memorial Hall, Albert Square Chop House, situated on Albert Square funnily enough. We will be showcasing to you the 21st century way to invest your money through property investment and crowdfunding, and we’ll be providing you with plenty of refreshments and nibbles, and we all love a good buffet don’t we?

Tickets are just £5 and as well as providing you with an insight into the revolutionary crowdfunding phenomenon, you’ll get the chance to do a bit of networking yourself.

Over the years, the internet has changed the way we behave and communicate with others such as, shopping, online dating and of course, how we invest our money {cough cough} – crowdfunding. Now crowdfunding is taking over the world and it will be the new Mark Zuckerberg before you know it. But it isn’t just property investment that crowdfunding is big on, film-makers and musicians are also using this form of investing to fund their projects, and Sir Richard Branson is also a huge fan. So you know it’s pretty good if the Virgin entrepreneur supports it.

If you would like to learn more about crowdfunding and why The House Crowd has become the leading property investment company, then why not come down to our seminar in November? Did we also mention that we were the first crowdfunding company in the world?

UK property crowd funding future looks bright

As the UK economy recovers, interest in property development is also recuperating. Thankfully however, the opportunities are now open to all with the concept of property crowd funding becoming increasingly popular in the UK, started by The House Crowd in 2012.

It is flattering for us that there are now around 5 property crowd funding websites dealing with buy-to-let residential property, each offering a slightly different business model but based around the same concept that the crowd funding company acts as the central point between the owner, developer, landlord, letting agent and a number of individual investors wanting to buy property as part of the crowd.

The House Crowd, and some of the other UK online platforms are looking at commercial property for crowd funded investment, already being done in the US. Traditionally seen as more risky, obviously more expensive and therefore unattainable, crowd funding is making this accessible and offering higher returns.

A major reason for the rise in people following The House Crowd suit, is the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) new regulatory rules on internet crowd funding which came into effect on 1 April 2014, in summary, ensuring that platforms must be fair and not misleading; risks should be highlighted; systems must be in place to separate the crowd’s money from the platform’s – all of which we do here at The House Crowd.

So, to be part of the bright future, why not invest with the first property crowd funding company – to find out how, click here.

Let Down By Buy-To-Let Lenders

Once again, British banks are being criticised; this time for letting down property investors who have successfully bid at residential property auctions. It has been reported that these investors, many of whom are buy-to-let, are left scrambling to source other forms of finance as their auction deal often leaves them legally bound to complete within strict timeframes, usually just 28 days.

So where does this leave these property investors? With very little choice and often relying on short-term finance.

This is a property investment strategy we would certainly not recommend! Which is probably why we’ve had so much interest since our launch, from those wanting to invest in property while avoiding issues such as these.
